NZ: Towies Sympathetic To Parliament Protesters

Despite the Police Commissioner’s plea to tow truck companies to remove trucks and other vehicles around parliament buildings Towies are saying ‘NO’.

One tow truck company spokesperson said drivers had not been threatened, they had no safety concerns, they just sympathise with the protesters.

“The question should not be how police and the council were going to move the vehicles, but rather what the politicians were going to do about the situation.”

Another company owner said that he believes there’s a simple way forward and that is ‘dialogue’.

“They should come out and talk to the people they represent. You can’t deny these people a hearing and if that had happened straight away I very much doubt the vehicles would still be there,”

The level arrogance being displayed by our representatives is astounding. What do they hope to achieve?
